Defines the legal, organizational, economic and social foundations for the functioning of the public health system in Ukraine in order to strengthen the health of the population, prevent diseases, improve the quality and increase life expectancy, regulate public relations in the field of public health and sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, and define relevant rights and the responsibilities of state bodies and local governments, legal entities and individuals in this area, establishes the legal and organizational basis for the implementation of state supervision (control) in areas of economic activity that may pose a risk to the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population.
