Abstract/Citation
The abovementioned law aims to consolidate all laws related to labour and employment; ensure compliance with fundamental principles and rights at work and other relevant international instruments; promote the use of best labour practices in implementing labour standards; address the dichotomy between public sector labour relations and the labour relations system by extending coverage to the public sector, and repeal the Labour Code Order, 1992. The Act is structured as follows:
