The purpose of this Act is to ensure the continued existence of the National Task Force on Human Trafficking, establish a Secretariat to support the Task Force, facilitate the prosecution of human trafficking and migrant smuggling offences, promote economic alternatives to these crimes, and address other related issues. This Act is structured as follows:
