Children (Care and Justice)(Scotland) Act 2024
This Act aims at broadening the children’s hearings system to include all under-18s, introducing enhanced safeguards in the criminal justice process for children, and updating the regulation of secure accommodation. It provides for compulsory supervision orders, improved sharing of disposal information, adjustments to age definitions for antisocial behaviour orders, and the repeal of outdated provisions, all while ensuring alignment with UNCRC standards.
