This Law establishes a comprehensive social security framework in Egypt, providing financial protection for vulnerable groups, including the elderly, persons with disabilities, and those unable to earn a living. It introduces conditional and unconditional cash transfer programs, defines eligibility criteria, and regulates benefit administration. The law establishes a Social Security Fund to manage resources and monitor compliance. It repeals Law No. 137 of 2010 on Social Security and any conflicting provisions, aiming to expand coverage, improve efficiency, and strengthen the social safety net.
