Abstract/Citation
Provides that the Constitution of the Falkland Islands set out in Schedule 1 shall come into operation on 18 Apr. 1985. Schedule 2 sets forth instruments which are thereby revoked. Contents of the Constitution: Ch. I: Protection of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms of the Individual; Ch. II: The Governor; Ch. III: The Legislature; Ch. IV: Powers and Procedures of the Legislative Council; Ch. V: The Executive; Ch. VI: Finance; Ch. VII: The Public Services; Ch. VIII: The Judicature; Ch. IX: Miscellaneous; Annex A: Rules for the Enactment of Laws; Annex B: Oaths and Affirmations.
