Abstract/Citation
Contains 22 sections covering, inter alia, objectives, scope of application, definitions, medical certificate for a person starting to work on board ship, period of validity of medical certificate, duty for ship captain to ensure the existence of valid medical certificates for all employees on board ship, medical examination (requirements to become approved ship physician, medical examination, medical certificate), appeal and application for exemption, special rules for European Union citizens and miscellaneous provisions. Repeals Ordinance (No. 237 of 1986) on the same subject, when the medical certificates drawn under that Ordinance expire, at the latest by 2004-01-01.
