Second Region

The Act is designed to provide statutory recognition to the Organization of Tanzania Trade Unions (OTTU) as the sole union representative of all workers in Tanzania and to deregister the Jumuiya ya Wafanyakazi wa Tanzania (JUWATA). The Jumuiya ya Wafanyakazi wa Tanzania Act of 1979 is repealed.
