Provisions concerning the right to sickness benefit as a result of incapacity for performing one's work. Every worker under 65 is compulsorily insured and entitled to sickness benefit. The benefit amounts to 70 per cent of the employee's daily wage and is paid for a maximum of 52 weeks. Maternity benefit amounts to 100 per cent of the daily wage. Also contains provisions concerning benefits when suitable work is performed. Lays down rules concerning the entitlement to sickness benefit in conjunction with other social security benefits. Death allowance is paid to the survivors following death of an insured worker. Administration of the insurance scheme is entrusted to industry societies. Provides for the possibility to benefit from insurance on a voluntary basis.
