Inter alia establishes 4 types of residence permit of aliens (temporary, ordinary, special and particular permit). Defines the categories of persons that shall be entitled to be granted a permit. Aliens with an ordinary residence permit shall have the right to work, social security and may be engaged in private business activity. The period of work shall expire simultaneously with the expiration of the period of residence. An ordinary residence permit may be granted to an alien: a) who legally resided in the country for more than 3 years; b) who is a former citizen of Armenia or is immediate relative to a citizen; c) who graduated form an institution of higher education in Armenia; d) who has a refugee status.
