Second Region

Sets forth requirements for the issuance of a license to operate a private employment agency. Agencies shall submit copies of employment contracts to the competent authorities. Also establishes specific obligations with regard to workers sent abroad. Inter alia, employment agencies are required to place certain sums in escrow to act as a fund to protect the rights of the worker. A labour contract of a worker going abroad shall fulfill the minimum requirements for labour contracts under Ethiopian law.
