Second Region

Made under Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960. Exempts certain organisations from Minimum Wage Act 1983 and Holidays Act 1981. Exemption applies to disabled persons employed by exempt organisations at sheltered workshops owned or controlled by the organisation. Sheltered workshops are places owned or controlled by organisations that have been approved by the Minister of Social Services and Employment, and that operate undertakings whose object is care, treatment and rehabilitation of disabled persons. Revokes Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Order 2000.
