Abstract/Citation
Regulates various aspects of immigration into Fiji. Divided into 9 parts. Part 1 (sections 1-3) contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 (sections 4-5) deals with designation, appointment and powers of immigration officers. Part 3 (sections 6-12) regulates entry into and departure from Fiji Islands. Part 4 (sections 13-16) deals with prohibited immigrants. Part 5 (sections 17-37) contains provisions regarding trafficking and smuggling of persons. Part 6 (sections 38-48) regulates determination of refugee status; Part 7 (sections 49-57) deportation. Part 8 (sections 58-59) deals with appeals, and Part 9 (sections 60-69) contains miscellaneous provisions. Repeals Immigration Act, Deportation Act and Aliens Act.
